Founded in 1871 and Incorporated on May 1, 1873 as an adjunct company to the Vigilant Hose Company of Muncy. The K.H.& L. Co. #1 was started by the Forman of the Vigilant Hose Company to assist them with the ever increasing need of a ladder and bucket company. In 1912, both companies were merged together under the name currently in use today. We continue to provide fire/heavy rescue/ems service to the Muncy area and surrounding communities. Our Company enjoys strong public support and governmental support from area municipalities as we continue to be a leader of public safety in Lycoming County Pennsylvania.
